The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) is the state agency that focuses solely on policies, programs, and services for people with mental health challenges, substance use disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, or any combination of these. As Georgia’s public safety net, DBHDD operates six field offices and five hospitals throughout the state within three program areas: behavioral health, developmental disabilities and hospital services.

DBHDD is asking basic desktop troubleshooting questions. Someone person with experience troubleshooting basic issues with Outlook email. Troubleshooting slowness issues with computers. Troubleshooting connectivity issues with remote workers connecting to the internet or network shared network drives.

Job Summary:

Support End User Computers for Service Delivery. This position will support two locations 2 Peachtree Street in Atlanta and our location on Panthersville Road in Decatur.

Troubleshoot user issues and maintain tickets assigned to the tech in the WORM system.
Create and maintain tickets in Remedy.
Troubleshoot issues on end user computing devices, including desktops, laptops, and Surface Pros.
Troubleshoot user access to standardize software from the DBHDD image, i.e., MS Office 365, VPN, Adobe, McAfee, LogMeIn, encryption, etc.
Troubleshoot computer peripheral devices: printers, scanners, MDF, monitors, keyboard, mice etc.
Setup and install computers for new hire onboarding’s.
Proficient in Win 10, and Office 365.
Experienced in troubleshoot issues on end user computing devices, including desktops, laptops, and Surface Pros.
History of working in an Active Directory domain environment
Proficient at software installs and troubleshooting
Some networking knowledge, along with the ability to troubleshoot network issues from the command line.
Attention to the details and high concentration.
Must have a strong characteristic and spirit for good and sound customer service.
He/she should be able to work with people and must have strong communication skills.
Must be able to establish a good working rapport with the clients quickly.
He/she should be willing to work at odd hours at times.
Must have patience, a logical mind and must be willing to learn continuously.

Experience :

The Sr. Performance and Automation Testing Engineer/ Developer responsibilities include performance testing of Gateway application components using Rational Performance Testing tool. Responsibilities also include the integration and design of new application systems and/or life-cycle enhancement to existing complex multi-platform (Java) Office of Gateway Systems. Work will include performance testing of Gateway application components, integration planning, integration analysis across multiple technical platforms, integration analysis across DHS to include both global system design and detailed program design for complex processes or interfaces, review of database design of new data structures, and suggested modifications to existing data structures. Effectively documents and teaches the structure and function of the new application and/or enhancements resulting from the assigned project(s) to other web application managers and senior technical personnel to ensure that the new systems or enhancements operate smooth within DHS, Office of Georgia Gateway environment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related specialty from an accredited college or university

Five (5) years of Lead experience in performance testing and engineering with hands-on experience in Rational Performance Testing (RPT) along with strong technical knowledge is a must

Eight (8) years of web development experience which includes the programming/ development of web applications

Eight (8) years of experience with Java/J2EE, Spring MVC, Hibernate, EJB, Spring

Experience in QA Automation Testing

Good communication sills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience using Rational Performance Testing tool

Senior .NET Developer

The Department of Public Health (IDPH) at the State of Iowa is looking for a highly motivated .Net developer to support and enhance an existing Click Once deployed application written in VB.Net and SQL Server. The person selected for this position will work as a secondary developer for the State’s disease surveillance system, actively used for COVID-19 efforts, and will work under the direction of the system’s Lead Architect/Developer. This system is core to the Department’s testing, tracing, and tracking of reportable diseases, including COVID-19, and this position adds to staff to keep pace with increasing demands for service.

The application is a VB.NET Click Once deployed application using ASMX web services and WCF Web services, an MSSQL Server database, and utilizing SQL Server Reporting Services for reports.

This position will be a member of a team but will also need to work independently. They will report directly to the system’s Senior Developer/Architect and must be experienced in requirements gathering, application development, reporting, and administration using VB.Net and SQL server. Experience in these technologies are required for the position and will be tested heavily during the interview process.

A successful candidate will be willing to dig in and solve problems with little guidance required; have demonstrated the ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-impact environment and demonstrated experience providing direct support to end-users with varying degrees of technical expertise.

Day-to-day duties of this contractor will be performing in this role include:
• Using TSQL/SQL Server update data based on spreadsheets/inputs and business rules
• Extract and transform data to meet reporting requirements
• Creating SSRS report
• Providing data sets for statistical analysis
• Working directly with end-users to troubleshoot application issues
• Work with other technical team members to support application (networking, database, security).
